We are a bit thin in the back for this match, defensive organization will be key. Also, the JFF needs have a field inspection to verify the condition of the playing field at the Office.

Five more schoolboys added to Reggae Boyz squad When the Reggae Boyz return to camp on Monday January 18 in preparation for their friendly international against Canada, there will be six newcomers including five schoolboys among them. They are part of a group of 27 players who will remain in training until Thursday January 21.
The five schoolboys include forward Deshorn Brown of St Elizabeth Technical (StETHS) who finished as top scorer in the daCosta Cup; Bridgeport High School captain and leading scorer in the Manning Cup Darren Mattocks. Jamaica College midfielder Ashani Walker, Jason Johnson of Manchester High and St James High School central defender John Barrett, complete the list of schoolboys.
In last week’s camp there were six schoolboys invited under what was described by head coach Theodore Whitmore as rotational policy in which a number of the outstanding schoolboy would be invited to each camp.
Former St James High School central defender and current Seba United representative Fabian McCarthy also earned his first invitation to the Reggae Boyz squad. McCarthy impressed observers of the 2008 schoolboy football season with his reading of the game and composure in defense.
The new invitees will get a chance to test themselves against more seasoned players such as the United States-based duo of defender Shavar Thomas and Omar Cummings. Central midfielder Jason Morrison who plays in Hungary and who has formed an almost impregnable partnership in the Jamaican engine room with Rodolph Austin, will also be involved. Rafe Wolfe and Luton Shelton complete the list of overseas-based players invited this time.
Leading scorer in the Digicel Premier League (DPL), Devon Hodges with 14 goals, the lively Navion Boyd of Tivoli Gardens, Waterhouse’s spark plug Kenardo Forbes and Jermaine Taylor of St George’s provide good representation from the country’s top League. Dicoy Williams and Adrian Reid who have shown their quality both locally and internationally are also included.
Jamaica’s friendly international against Canada on Sunday January 31, 2010 kicks off at 6:00pm and will cost patrons $3,000.00 for Grandstand Category 1, $2,500.00 for Grandstand Category 2 and $1,000.00 for Bleachers.

I think Luton Shelton is going to break JA's record on # of Goals Forward . Paul Tegat davis is @ 32 , Shelton is @ 27 . He has Caribbean Nations Cup and X amount of friendlies to do it .

The office hosts several track and field meets during this time. However, according to reports for the second round final on jan. 17, 2010, the field was in good condition so let us hope it is maintained for the match.

Houston Dynamo goalie Pat Onstad, the oldest player in MLS at the age of 42, will join the Canada national team training in Florida for its game at Jamaica on Jan. 31.
Onstad, who has 56 caps with Canada, is one of nine MLS players in the camp.
"I love being involved," Onstad said. "It'll be nice to see some familiar faces and also some new young talent Canada has. It will be a great experience to train with them this week."
Four Toronto FC players -- Nana Attakora, Ali Garba, Julian de Guzman and Dwayne De Rosario -- are in camp. Four other MLS players were brought in by Coach Stephen Hart: Andre Hainault (Houston), Dejan Jakovic (D.C. United), Will Johnson (Real Salt Lake) and Antonio Ribeiro (San Jose).
Attakora was one of four players who received their first callups, along with goalkeeper David Monsalve of FC Inter Turku (Finland), midfielder Carlo Rivas of Club Deportivo Universidad de Concepcion (Chile) and midfielder Massih Wassey of FC Schalke 04 II (Germany).
Canada U-23s Randy Edwini-Bonsu, Derek Gaudet and Michal Misiewicz joined camp after their under-23 camp ended.
Toronto FC's Adrian Serioux withdrew from the camp because of an elbow injury.

Can anyone confirm if Dane Richards went to La Manga, Spain to start pre-season with the Red Bulls OR is he in Jamaica training with the national team in preparation for the Canada match?
Jamatl, what midfield machine are u talking about? seriously...
De Guzman, De Rosario, Wassih, Jazic and Jakovic ........That is pretty decent. If the Reggaeboyz allow de Guzman space they are in for a very long afternoon.

Good to see the highschool players still hanging tough - even if they don't make the final cut, it should help their development/exposure to the next level. *All you need is some balls Tappa - Whether you toe the line or do your own thing they will still fire you, so you may as well do it your way. The worst thing to do is to get fired for "following instructions."

Ryan Johnson finally gets a call after almost 4 years. Lets see what he can do
Should not be based on one call- he does not even know the players here. That is why Tappa's "rotation" system is better......get players into the rotation.....continuity.

Maybe decent. No Midfield Machine there.. Don't see any midfield machines in Concacaf.

I guess you have not watched Honduras lately, but Canada has done very well in the past with the midfield combination of De Guzman, De Rosario, Johnson and Hutchinson.
It should be a nice rematch for Austin and Morrison against Canada.
