The tournament should feature more full time professional players this year from Haiti, Jamiaca, Trinidad, Grenada and St. Vincent and Grenadines, Martinique and Guadelope.
Can anyone confirm if Puerto Rico is participating?

Well, Tappa contract is only guaranteed by the current Burrell administration. So, if Burrell is not elected we may be out of a head coach three weeks before the competition.
I had to send more than 30 e-mails to get this - only 2 FAs actually replied with the schedule.
I've gotten replies from the Saint Kitts, Grenada, and Guyana FA's before when asking questions but many of the others don't answer (understandable for the smaller ones, I suppose and maybe the bigger ones are too busy). All three of those have declined to answer my emails before as well though.

An interesting article I translate from french to english using google , it talks about the Martinique bid ....
The Martinique Digicel Caribbean Organize the Cup in November,
At the Congress of the CFU (Caribbean Football Union) in Trinidad in March, the delegation received from Martinique, against all odds, the organization of the final tournament of the Digicel Caribbean Cup. The Martinique, Mauritius and Fred Victory Miram Marthe Rose, have managed to thwart the candidacy of Barbados, which was not easy in a predominantly Anglophone UFC, but also that of Guadeloupe.
Note that according to some sites in Guadeloupe, the chairman of the Football League Guadeloupe Roch and Jocelyn Angloma had made this competition their priority, exceeding even the ambitions of victory.
Already under the chairmanship of Joseph Ursulet and that of Alain Rapon, image, reputation and good name of our island had created a strong relationship between the League of Martinique and the UFC. They account for a large part in the decision of Jack Warner. But he had to show our capacity to organize such an event that, under the chairmanship of Samuel Pereau, the League of Martinique has the honor to organize this competition.
For Maurice Victoire, well aware of the power relations that exist barely visible in the UFC but also the CONCACAF "It was not easy to convince the Executive Committee of the UFC to bring his choice to Martinique . We had the support of other English speaking countries like Jamaica and Trinidad. This designation is the reward of working relationship that the league has long had with the football in the Caribbean.
For the record, the UFC is composed of 29 members representing 25 nations of the Caribbean (St Kitts & Nevis, Turks and Caicos Islands, Dominica, Haiti, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Trinidad, Virgin Islands, U.S. and UK, Surinam, Guyana, Aruba ... .) and four affiliates (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Guyana and St. Martin). Of those 29 members, there are 16 English-speaking countries, three Hispanics, five Dutch and five French and a small transverse link 7 creole (5 French and 2 English).
24 members currently participating in phase two playoff rounds. Following these series of matches, six teams will qualify and join the Jamaica, the 2008 champion and Martinique, the host country for the final tournament from 1 to December 16.
Observers expect to find Cuba, Guadeloupe, Trinidad and Haiti can be despite the disaster of January.
Some figures
Four countries have won at least once this prestigious competition. Trinidad and Tobago is well ahead with 8 victories. It is followed by Jamaica with 4, and Haiti and Martinique with one victory each. Remember, it was in 1993 in Trinidad against Jamaica. Further on, in 1990, Martinique was a finalist against Trinidad and Tobago but the match was canceled because of an attempted coup in Trinidad. In 1994 Martinique was beaten in the finals in Trinidad. She was third in 1992, 1996 and 2001. Since ... Posted: 23 Apr 2010 12:05 PM
