Head coach of the national Women's programme, Vin Blaine, has retained the entire group of 18 U-17 players invited last week to take part in the Caribbean leg of the World Cup Qualifiers, beginning October 12 in Curacao.
The talented group of youngsters includes 10 players from the 2008 Under-15 team which won the inaugural Caribbean Football Union (CFU) tournament held in Trinidad and Tobago.
Included in that 10 are Shanise Foster, the then captain, and Trudy Carter, who have both stepped up to the U-20 team.
In addition to Foster and Carter, Shernay Henry, Davia Morrison, Renee Freeman, Remona Hyde, Shenika Williams, Teola Caine, Natani Tomlinson-Trail and Krysannia Gordon were part of the pioneering U-15 group.
The Younger Girlz will assemble at the Players' Residence on Friday before departing on Saturday for Curacao, where they will compete against Aruba on October 12, Dominican Republic on October 14 before closing out against the Netherland Antilles two days later.
They will return home on October 17.
Accompanying the team will be Elaine Walker-Brown, head of delegation; Vin Blaine, coach; Xavier Gilbert, assistant coach; Clive Wedderburn, goalkeeper coach; Jean Nelson, team manager; Juan Pablo Camargo, masseur; Dr Derrick McDowell, team doctor and Lloyd Holm, equipment manager.
