The only support Barnes needs right now is from management. He needs a few players or time. You can't expect anyone to de-ruxify a team in 3 months; not even John Barnes.

What i would really like to know is where was the support that Barnes needed when he was still with Jamaica? This call for support now seems ill-timed, nutty and suspect.

Many thought that Barnes had a contract until the end of the 2009 Gold Cup, because it came as a surprise when he left due to lack of a contract extension.

Maybe Barnes should just walk away if he cannot get better players. That's one horrible team!

JB wanted a Manager job in England. He's has one for now.

Previous seasons saw Tranmere not far from playoff spots with a good goal difference. More or less, this was the same team.

ROVERS' and the other Tranmere fans grouse is that their former manager, Ronnie Moore, knew how to get result with this horrible team of bad players, including the Northwest Region League 1 player of the year for 2 years running, Ian Goodison.

As a 'yardman'I wish the best for John Barnes and hopes that he can hang on to the job and begin to turn things around but I see their point of view as well.

To Qualify for a World Cup , an average win of atleast 58%
is needed depends on circumstance.

Barnes definately need the support of all you supporters now...

jamatl will start the donations. Barnes is a nice person I believe. But he has single handedly eroded the professional respect them have out there for him. Would anyone even take him on as an assistant??

Maybe he may have to consider youth development, women's football or Jamaican Football where the game is slower and he can think quick enough. As a player its easy to think for yourself but as a coach/manager he needs help/or must try and develop himself without the addded pressure of monies and success necessity.

I used to shout about giving Barnes a try but as Jamaica coach the only way was up. With tranmere and celtic he obviously hasn't got the skillz to stay up. He seems like the sort of person who has to mash up the vibe and implement his vibe which nuh always work especially when the vultures are waiting fi yu..

I wonder how his wife feels???

Why would we support him at Trenmere when we did not support him in Jamaica? Our support would not have mattered anyway as the fans and management did not want him.

I think following his disappointing stint at Tranmer, John Barnes should consider a coach role in the states. His name is still very popular and an assistant coaching position would allow him to learn the trade away from the spotlight in England.

Barnes does not seem like someone who would be interested in an assistant position. He has a philosophy on how the game should be played and I do not think he is about to change. Burrell may want to try and bring him back but what would that do to Tappa who is the man in charge

Tappa can take us to 2014. the players enjoy playing under him and the constant changing of coaches is not going to help
