TheWorm I appreciate the work you are doing but how do you know that all these folks you posted on who were born in England are jamaicans ? I visited the socawarriors website and they dont have a 'trinidadian abroad ' thread, instead they have a Caribbean abroad thread , most of these folks who you think are jamaicans are not , by international law you are what your mother is .

Yes, you are what your mother is, but the thread at SocaWarriors is based only on eligibility. Many countries allow for anyone who have one grandparent born in the country to play for that team. Jason Euell, for example, qualified through his father who was born in Jamaica. They do also have a "Trinis Abroad" thread each weekend.
For example, with Reuben Hazell, his uncle was a professional footballer born in Jamaica so I assume he must be eligible. Leon McKenzie's father was a professional boxer from Clarendon so he is too. Some players I know from being on here, some I know from Carib-Briton over at SW, and some I know from my own research. If you have any questions about certain players over there I will tell you how I know how they are eligible. The ones I am not very sure on I put at the bottom as the "maybes." The only people I post in this thread are people who have been capped and if not I put a note by their name saying they are eligible but not been capped.
I'm sure there are some in that thread who don't feel Jamaican at all and would never represent The Reggae Boyz, but they remain eligible regardless.

I think you got it all wrong , lots of those people you have posted about are not jamaicans . Only 2 way you can be a jamaican , if you were born there or your Mother is jamaican .

let me ask you a question , how did tyrone mears qualified to play for Jamaica ?
Technically he didn't. He thought his dad was from Jamaica (I don't think he ever knew him) and the JFF got him a passport. Then he did a DNA test or something and found out his dad was form Sierra Leone. As far as I know he's still eligible to play for Jamaica if he still has the passport he got (though he has no interest).

Thank you ! anyman can be a father but u can only have 1 mother , and so therefore its only logic to stick with international law and accept those who claim heritage through their Mother !

I don't agree or diasgree, nor do I make the rules. FIFA does and they say that if your father, mother, or any of your grandparents are from Jamaica you are eligible. If they went by your rules Deon Burton never would have played for Jamaica (his mother is English and father is Jamaican).

IF IT WAS UP TO ME i WOULD ONLY TAKE PLAYERS FROM ENGLAND ONLY IF THEIR MOTHERS ARE YARDIES .SO MAYBE BURTON WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ON MY TEAM .DO YOU KNOW IF OBAMA MOTHER WAS'NT WHITE HE WOULD'NT GET THAT MANY SUPPORT AT THE NATIONAL ELECTION .
