Ricardo Gardner was left out of the squad yesterday, which continues his manager's cavalier treatment of him.
Damion Stewart has been on the bench for both league games. However, he played in the Carling Cup game. New manager, and not a good sign for last season's QPR player of the year.
Claude waits for the embargo to be lifted on Crystal Palace's business, so that he can get through with his work permit.
While he is still at Wigan, Marlon King rode the bench yesterday. The feeling is that Wigan is looking for somewhere to loan him, but King does not want to go out on loan again.
Sheffield Wednesday manager Brian Laws is backing forward Jermaine Johnson to score a lot of goals for the Owls this season.
The 28-year-old has scored three goals in the first four games but was unable to find the net in the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle on Wednesday night.
Johnson did give Newcastle centre-back Fabricio Coloccini a torrid time at St James' Park and Laws believes the pacey frontman will cause problems for many sides.
"Jermaine Johnson is a handful - sometimes he is unplayable," said Laws.
"We know he has got the ability to hurt people. He was causing all sorts of problems within the game because he has got pace and he runs at people.
"He should score goals because he will cause problems for the opposition."
if Johnson improves his shooting and finishing i cant see why he should not make a good forward. but the GOLD CUP told me he has a horrible shot as i thought he should a scored once or twice for us then.

He has always been capapble of shooting hard, but not always accurately. He lacks composure. I think that he can still improve this aspect of his game, but I rather doubt that he will ever be a big scorer.
All that said, I hope that the local coaches get training in setting up layered shooting drills, because our players need to develop this aspect of their game from an early age.

Debuts delayed by by red-tape hold-up
Date: 21 August 2009 By Neil Goulding
BARNSLEY boss Simon Davey will be without new signings Emil Hallfredsson and O'Neil Thompson for tomorrow's Championship clash with Leicester.
Davey has been working tirelessly to get international clearance for both players, but red tape has prevented the Welshman from obtaining work permits in time for the visit to the Walker Stadium.
Thompson's clearance is expected within the next 10 days, although Davey has no idea when Hallfredsson will be allowed to make his debut for the club.
"It's been very frustrating; it seems as though there's nothing we can do to hurry things up," revealed Davey.
"We wanted both players to be available but in O'Neil's case it seems as though we're waiting for a little old tea lady to fax the clearance over to us.
"At the end of the day, it's frustrating for me, the team, the fans and him (O'Neil). It should all be done and dusted by now."
We signed O'Neil last Friday so he's been at the club for a week and not played. He's chomping at the bit to start.
"I just don't understand why the Italian FA are restricting a player playing for a team. All they have to do is check the contracts and send us the clearance.
Davey also revealed Thompson returned to Norway to his former club, Notodden FK to obtain his work permit, but has been told clearance is expected to take between five and 14 days. Davey added: "It's been five days, so we'll probably have to wait another 10 days before it's all cleared up."
Looking ahead to the match, Davey has just one major injur concern, with Argentinian midfielder Hugo Colace still sidelined with a calf injury.
The Oakwell boss expects experienced defender Darren Moore to play through the pain barrier once again.
Moore has had pain-killing injections in his left ankle before games and at half-time during recent league matches - and Davey admits it would be hard to prevent the former West Brom centre-back from playing for the team.
"Darren's not trained for the last couple of days but he'll have an injection again and play," he said.
"In all honesty, you tell him that he's not going to play.
"He's still having treatment on his ankle but he could probably play all season long with these injections."
Former Sheffield United full-back Rob Kozluk is available for selection having missed Tuesday night's 2-0 defeat to Preston because of a red card against Coventry last weekend.
