Footballers need to be playing football. If he (or she) is not playing then it is time to find a new profession. Just being in England to say you are in England is ludicrous. No different from Bolt or Asafa switching track clubs and are not allowed to run.........game over.

The same applies to Bibi at Bolton - he might want to think about sitting down with the club to find if he has a future at the club. There are many clubs that could use his services - even if it is not a Premiership club........

Well, hopefully Bigga can get a work permit to transfer to a new club.

Who knows how this one will work out, given JA's low FIFA rankings, but it looks like Bigga will have to move to League Two to remain in England. The grass is not always greener, and it now looks like Norway might have been best for him, even though the money in England is probably a bit better.

Thompson: Unwanted at Oakwell

Darlington have reached a deal with Barnsley for the loan of Jamaican O'Neil Thompson, but are yet to hear whether he will agree to the switch.

Defender Thompson has been capped 21 times by his country. The 26-year-old will make a decision on his future when he returns from a break.

Tykes director Don Rowling revealed: "We've agreed a loan that looks like it's going to go ahead.

"We've agreed his wages with Darlington."

There's a big difference between Bibi Gardner's situation and status as a footballer than 'Bigga' Thompson's.

Bibi's had a sterling career as an iconic Jamaican star footballer at the very highest level; he's made his money, played in a World Cup, made a reputation for himself that will be unrivalled in Jamaica for a very long time to come.

He's at the age where, even if it is a bit soon to consider retirement, he can begin to think about life after football very comfortably.

Bigga Thompson, no disrespect intended, is never going to be anymore than a 'journeyman' footballer and he has to grab whats going for him now and see what he can get from the game while he can.

Unfortunately, players like Dicoy Williams and even Jermaine Taylor will make Jamaica's squad over him now anyday of the week.

Mi wish him all the best and he should take whatever deal is on the table and try to do the best for his career as he can.

Nothing against Bigga personally but he had no business near the senior national team or a league championship over the past two years.

He is a journeyman DPL, Norwegian 2nd div, league two balla based on his technical and tactical abilities.

Like I said before if you are a footballer and you are not playing football - game over. Players need to look at their situation before they jump into it because some situations may not be right for you at that point in time. Fuller/Portsmouth, Fuller/Crystal Palace;Donavon Ricketts/Bradford; Luton Shelton/Sheffield; Robhino/Mancity etc etc. Players have to evaluate their own situation based on their comfort levels. Sometimes you have to move on.........That is why some players end their contracts (by mutual consent).

If you have a girl and things naw work out, don't keep hanging on because other people think seh unnuh make a cute couple. Give har back har key even though others might seh yuh fool fool. Might be the best move you ever made in your life. ;\)
