International Soccer returns to Giants Stadium with a World Cup preparation doubleheader on August 12. The South American neighbors, Colombia will meet Venezuela at 6:30 PM, followed by Ecuador vs. Jamaica. These matches on a FIFA date – allowing the countries to bring their top stars – will serve the teams to finalize their preparation ahead of the last two rounds of South America's World Cup 2010 qualifiers scheduled to begin the first week of September. As a member of Meadowlands All Access you have the opportunity to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public Monday, July 13 at 10 AM.
Starts: Thursday, July 9 at NOON Ends: Sunday, July 12 at 10 PM Password: ACCESS
Ticket Prices: $35, $50, $65, $100
(Ticket prices will increase by $5 on day of event. Ticket is good for both matchups)
I am going to venture that the Brits will be reluctant to release players for this, given that they will not want interruptions and injuries. So, this will be a chance to buss a few of the yard ballers that some people have been calling for. Remember that clubs are not compelled to release players for friendlies, and that even if some clubs are willing, some players will want to be excused. But this is a good friendly for us.
I hope we get something out of this, and i hope tappa use more foreighn guns! especcially from England. This austin, morrison, bigga thompson, them not working.
any possibilities guys for the likes of nosworthy, hines, simpson, mears, prattley, williamson, grant, humphries, omar daley, etc getting called or maybe even considered for this game.

Nasri, give up on the UB40s, because few if any will want to play for a local manager. Truss me, Mears and Pratley were somewhat curious because of Barnes, and Nosworthy is probably no longer willing to risk injury with a team that has nothing to play for for four years -- let's forget about the Digicel Tournament as it is both minor and comes at the wrong time for British players. The August date of the game is awkward as well, given the startup of the English season.

Expect a strong local squad for this match....the EPL and League Championship season start during this week so it would be unwise to pull the players away. It should be a DPL, Norway, MLS crew for this match.
I dont think for the World Cup qualifying campaign coming up in a few years that we need to change our team completely. We jus need to build the team. Ricketts Shavar Thomas, Marshall is in his probable last year with the boyz. Goodison will be around for a little while longer. Build up Shelton and Cummings. Fuller may have a few games here and there. King maybe. I here so much about Ryan Johnson well lets see what he's got
