Good news for this match is that all our England, Scotland and Jamaica based players should be available. JJ is questionable but Mears, Austin, Stephenson, Shelton, Phillips, Thomas, Ricketts, Marshall, Cummings, Richards and Williams may have club conflicts.

Possible squad:

Claude Davis(Crystal Palace/Derby County)
Ian Goodison(Tranmere)
Jamal Campbell-Ryce(Barnsley)
Damion Stewart(QPR)
Ricardo Gardner(Bolton)
Ricardo Fuller(Stoke City)
Marlon King(Hull City/Middlesborough)
Darren Pratley(Swansea City)
Wolry Wolfe(Fereconsvi)
Rafe Wolfe(Fereconsvi)
Jason Morrison(Fereconsvi)
Nicholas Addlery(Puerto Rico)
Simon Ford(Kilmanrock)
Alanzo Adlam(Sporting Central)
Ricardo Cousins(Portmore United)
Shawn Sawyers(Portmore United)

Well it´s good to get games before the Gold Cup in the USA to look at MLS and local players while Barnes looks at talent in Europe. The most important thing is to get them together and over the 3 games we can now get them to work together and to find the best combinations. I´m glad we´ll be going into Gold Cup with some preparation.

We need not play Fuller until the last warm up game when we find a suiter for his partner upfront.He is the one player we can't risk getting injuried b4 the CUP.
We need to take close looks at Adlam,King,Shelton,Addlery and Cummings to see who will be his best strike partner.I would think King or Shelton but the others may be hungrier.

Tickets should be on sale now. Devon Hodges may be given another chance for this match but maybe not as more overseas players will be joining the squad

Devon Hodges is a 24 yr old striker who plays for Rivoli United in our Local Premer League. He scored 25 goals this season. He was the top goal scorer. He should have been part of the 18 but VISA issues. The JFF should have asked for a emergency visa

Now on to the next preparation match....El Salvador plays in Los Angeles on May 27 and both Shavar Thomas and Donovan Ricketts have home matches in Los Angeles next week. So, all the JFF needs to do is ask Shavar or Donovan for scouting report on El Salvador ahead of the match on Saturday. Barnes should have no excuse about lack of knowledge abouth the opponent.

I watched this team is the 2007 Gold Cup and current WCQs. The main man is Eliseo Quintanilla. They can be a very technical team but also extremely dirty. These will be a good test to see if we can finish with 11 players.

Boyz begin preparations for El Salvador
Following their 2-2 draw with French Caribbean neighbours Haiti, the Reggae Boyz will return to camp on Tuesday with four players earning recalls.

The quartet of Desmond Breakenridge (Arnett Gardens), Dicoy Williams (Harbour View), Jermaine Johnson and Devon Hodges will be part of the group of 21 players in contention for 18 places for a friendly international against El Salvador in Washington DC on Saturday May 30. They will have an afternoon session at Winchester Park, St Georges College.

Johnson was not considered for the May 23 friendly against Haiti because of a one-match suspension for the red card he received in the February friendly against Nigeria in London. Breakenridge and Williams, both central defenders did not make the final 18 and could now be contending for a spot as Claude Davis, who earned a red card in the Haiti encounter, will not be involved against El Salvador. Hodges was not considered for the Haiti game as he was not in possession of a visa.

The remaining members of the squad will consist of seventeen of the 18-man squad that faced Haiti. Nicholas Addlery of the Puerto Rico Islanders rejoined his club on Sunday and will rejoin the squad in Washington.

Full Squad: Goalkeepers- Shawn Sawyers(Portmore United), Dwayne Miller(Harbour View);
Defenders- Damion Stewart(Queens Park Rangers,UK), Dicoy Williams (Harbour View) Ian Goodison(Tranmere Rovers, UK), Desmond Breakenridge(Arnett Gardens), Adrian Reid(Portmore United), Andre Campbell(Portmore United), Rafe Wolfe(Ferencvaros, HUNGARY);

Defenders/Midfielders – Eric Vernon(Portmore United), Oraine Simpson(Tivoli Gardens); Midfielders- Richard Edwards(Harbour View), Michael Campbell(Boys’ Town), Jason Morrison(Ferencvaros,HUNGARY), Wolry Wolfe(Ferencvaros, HUNGARY), Jermaine Johnson (Sheffield Wednesday);

Forwards- Keammar Daley(Meadhaven United), Navion Boyd(Tivoli Gardens), Roland Dean(Tivoli Gardens) and Devon Hodges (Rivoli United).

I think Fuller,Bibi and King need a brief rest after a hectic last week in the EPL. The MLS and Scanadvian players will not be realeased until June 1 for the Panama match.

The locals are definately getting a chance to prove they belong in the Gold Cup squad.

Hodges, who banged in 25 goals for Rivoli United, was one of four players earning recalls for Saturday's game. Desmond Breakenridge, Dicoy Williams and Jermaine Johnson are the other three.

Hodges was not considered for the Haiti game as he was not in possession of a visa, an issue which caused widespread debate in a blame game between club and country.

Johnson was not considered for the Haiti game because of a one-match suspension for the red card he received in the February game against Nigeria in London.

Breakenridge and young Williams, both central defenders, did not make the final 18 and could be in contention for a spot since Claude Davis will be out after he was ejected against Haiti.

Yesterday the team trained at Winchester Park without Ian Goodison, Damion Stewart and Nicholas Addlery.
Addlery rejoined his club Puerto Rico Islanders on Sunday and will join the team in Washington, while both Goodison and Stewart will rejoin today.

The reminder of the squad went through a light workout and the emphasis by Barnes was on goalscoring as he took the strikers through an extended shooting drill.

"The training was very low-keyed once again. I think the boys in Jamaica are very fit and sometime you over-train. I have seen us train twice a day and sometimes it's a long, hard season. So we just have to get the legs fresh again," Barnes explained.

Training squad - (Goalkeepers - Shawn Sawyers(Portmore United), Dwayne Miller(Harbour View); Defenders - Claude Davis(Derby County,UK), Damion Stewart(Queens Park Rangers,UK), Dicoy Williams (Harbour View) Ian Goodison(Tranmere Rovers, UK), Desmond Breakenridge(Arnett Gardens), Adrian Reid(Portmore United), Andre Campbell(Portmore United), Rafe Wolfe(Ferencvaros, HUNGARY); Defenders/Midfielders - Eric Vernon(Portmore United), Oraine Simpson(Tivoli Gardens); Midfielders- Richard Edwards(Harbour View), Michael Campbell(Boys' Town), Jason Morrison(Ferencvaros,HUNGARY), Wolry Wolfe(Ferencvaros, HUNGARY), Jermaine Johnson (Sheffield Wednesday); Forwards- Keammar Daley(Meadhaven United), Navion Boyd(Tivoli Gardens), Roland Dean(Tivoli Gardens) and Devon Hodges (Rivoli United).
