Division Three: Top Goal Scorers for this season
1. Steven Howard (Luton) - 24 2. Luke Rodgers (Shrewsbury)- 22 3. Chris Greenacre (Mansfield) - 21 4. Julian Alsop (Cheltenham) - 19 5.Onandi Lowe (Rushden & D'monds) - 18 6. Gary Alexander (Hull) - 17 7. Gordon Watson (Hartlepool) -17 8. Dean Crowe (Luton) - 15 9.Nathan Ellington (Bristol Rovers)- 15 10. Kevin Townson (Rochdale) - 14 11. Michael Proctor (York) - 14 12. Richie Foran (Carlisle) - 14 13. Paul Moody (Oxford Utd) - 13 14. Ian Clark (Darlington) - 13 15. Martin Carruthers (Scunthorpe) - 13 16. Lee Thorpe (Lincoln City) - 13 17. Lee Nogan (York) - 13 18. Lawrie Dudfield (Hull) - 12 19. Steve Torpey (Scunthorpe) - 12 20. Tony Naylor (Cheltenham) - 12 21. Matthew Taylor (Luton) - 11 22. Christian Roberts (Exeter) - 11 23. Peter Beagrie (Scunthorpe) - 11 24. Graham Coughlan (Plymouth) - 11 25. Paul Harsley (Halifax) - 10 26. Jamie Brooks (Oxford Utd) - 10 27. Nigel Jemson (Shrewsbury) - 10 28. Barry Conlon (Darlington) - 10 Note: Onandi played in less than half the 46 matches for the season. I have to get all the stats on Onandi but this is very impressive.
There are 23 teams in the division each having an average of 3 forwards, therefore there are about 69 active forwards in Division 3. Onandi still was able to finish 5th even though he started late. Of the 69 forwards (some played in over 40 matches) only 27 scored 10 goals are more.
No other Rushden forwards (including Paul Hall) made the top 10 list.
My guess is that if Rushden gets to divison 2 then Onandi deserves Division 3 player of year...serious. The man deserves some props.

I think Nathan Ellington is one of the youth that we are actively pursuing to come and play for us. Onandi still outperforming him even though he played the entire season. Also, Burton loaned out and playing in division 3 can't buy a single goal....
Bwoy life ruff....

Corrections!!! Onandi did join in December and appeared in 25 league games and 1 cup game. It's also listed on the website that he infact scored 19 goals for the club and not 18. This will make him joint 4th with Julian Alsop.

He has my props in that division, but as long as the national team can't be dynamic or fail to develop through teamwork, and if Nandi is the same Nandi, then i have no space for him on the national side.
Don't be fooled, teamwork rules.

Ditto Zouse. Big ups fi Nandi on his achievement in the division 3. I wish for him the best and hope that they make it into div 2. BTW Double B, Burton is with Stoke in div 2, not that it matters. He still bombed out.
Peace

Nandi have a natural instinct for goal. This is a impressive record considering the amount of games he played in. Maybe someone from D1 or premiere league might notice this and give him a try in the upper league.

I'm not surprised if Carl Brown will call Nathan Ellington against the USA or at least against Nigeria in London. That man is damn good.

Rushden & Diamond Paul Hall 34 App. 8 Goals Onandi Lowe 22 App. 16 Goals.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If it was that simple Brush, then the English Football Establishment would look at their stats in the same way...
1 Greenacre Mansfield 27 2 Alsop Cheltenham 25 3 Alexander Hull 23 4 Howard Luton 23 5 Rodgers Shrewsbury 22 6 Lowe Rushden & D'monds 20 7 Naylor Cheltenham 18 8 Foran Carlisle 16
info 27th april from BBC sports. 1 Greenacre Mansfield 28 2 Alsop Cheltenham 25 3 Howard Luton 24 4 Alexander Hull 23 5 Lowe Rushden & D'monds 22 6 Rodgers Shrewsbury 22 7 Naylor Cheltenham 18 8 Watson Hartlepool 18
I wish they could make up there minds about how many goals he has scored.
I suppose we all agree that he has scored nuff goals anyway.
A good record yes DoubleD, but from one angle it may look good, but from another which is mine... I will give him full props when he plays a full season and comes up with the same or better results.. It is easy to come in the middle of the season when most have played numerous games week in, week out and are physically fatigued, though it may not look so to us.
Some may even think being injured gives U a well deserved rest and one returns fresh, but a lot find it difficult as they being injured are not able to keep their fitness level up..
A full season incorporates many scenarios DoubleD... It is not fair to just blankett all and say Lowe is good and he done better and he started late.
We see Bibi in the Premier League and even when he was in the 1st, he couldn't perform consistent the whole season thru. But it was certainly obvious when he wasn't on top form...
Van Nistleroy on the other hand has had off days but has played practically the whole season and has obviously earned the right to be top of the top.
1 Nistelrooy Man Utd 39 2 Owen Liverpool 32 3 Henry Arsenal 31 4 Hasselbaink Chelsea 30 5 Solskjaer Man Utd 26 6 Shearer Newcastle 25 7 Gudjohnsen Chelsea 22 8 Ormerod Southampton 21

I see what you are saying JT. If you come in the middle of the season and "unfit" you have a better chance to "done di place". Just like Fuller. Came in the middle and done di place then run out a steam. Now it looks like di "place done him".
TEAMWORK rules. I think at least twice a week HeartsFan come and tell us how Fuller hog the ball taking impossible shots and man wide open. Replacing Nandi with Fuller should improve the teamwork 1000%.
Me a tek Bets right Yah soh!!! Mi naaaaa bet 'gainst Jamaica but Jamaica wil not score! Match will be competitive but No goals for Jamaica. Cyant even beat a "bush league team".

I heard the manager of Rushden & Diamonds talking on the radio after the match with Rochdale, and would you know it! He was talking about the lack of teamwork from Nandi in the short interview and basically implied that this might of cost them the win.
Seem like if dem win a Nandi, if dem no win a him same way.

Hehehe I will be the first to tell you that Nandi is him worst enemy. I know that is hard to believe considering all the Nandi haters round ya. But nana can mek things go to him head real fast. I don't know if the stats support it but every game that he scores more than one goal seems to be followed by a game where he holds the ball and tries to do too much.
Oh Nana nana nana

I wasn't really comparing Fuller to Onandi Ddread... I really wanted to point out that all imports in the british leagues go thru a transitional period. This either happens when they just arrive and try to get into the pace and vibe or mash up the place first then cant go the distance..
Two examples are Goodison and Whitmore. Lowe makes an impact wherever he goes but THEN...
mi nuh really hafi say nutten more do I Ddread..
But then I really hated the fact that in the English Leagues any mediocre can get status just by scoring goals. (Linekar--the black breda from Bolton--Hesky---etc etc..)
