This is very sad, for years we have heard of 'Brittish football hooligans' but Jamaica takes it a notch higher instead of fans brawling in the streets of England, Scotland etc. Jamaican fans 'buss the glock instead'
Tight security at Harbour View

Sunday, April 21, 2002

FEARS of a possible outbreak of violence at today's NPL semifinal games at Harbour View should be erased as tight security measures will be in place, organisers say.

With fans from Arnett Gardens and Tivoli Gardens expected to be on hand to cheer their teams on, concerns have been expressed about both sets of fans being "under the same roof".

"...Everbody discussed it (security details) at length and everbody is willing to go along with it. We are obviously concerned as the situation is not perfect but everybody has agreed with the things that have been put in place," said Clyde Jureidini, Harbour View's general manager.

A security plan was ironed out at a meeting which involved top level representatives of the four clubs, the police, referees and executives of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) on Friday at the JFF headquarters.

To avoid a recurrence of the missile-throwing incident between supporters of both teams that marred a Jackie Bell KO semifinal match earlier this year, the JFF plans to enforce special seating arrangements.

Tivoli, Hazard and neutral supporters will enter the ground from the west gate and occupy the west and north stands, while Arnett and Harbour View supporters will be seated in the east and south stands.

Tickets for Tivoli and Hazard fans should be purchased at the main ticket office, while a special bus at the east end will provide tickets for Arnett and Harbour View supporters.

Also, no weapons will be allowed as police plan to search those entering the stadium.

The police are expected to be out in their numbers and will be patrolling all the entry and exit areas and adjoining roads to the stadium and areas around Harbour View.

Soup this main be a little off the current topic. But I was checking out the results in the English first division and came across West Brom Albion's. They just gain promotion to the EPL with a two nil victory over their opponent. One of their goal scorer was a defender name Darren Moore, his name sounds familiar. Was he ever apart of the Reggae Boyz outfit?

Fi real Soup!

I thought Tivoli had a better game than Hazzard and should have won. I didn't know their midfield was so tough, but Nicholas let them down. He really dissapointed me.

Arnette, bwoy i don't know what happen to them! That free kick scored by Fabian was a decent one against Leon! He must have photocopied those kicks!

Funny moments:

Every time H/View scored the Tivoli crowd went wild
When the black pearl came on Cargill immediately put on a marker on him that sent the pearl into wonderland. I guess the pearl is still dangerous!

Soup!

A little papi pop off him sixpance pon mi last night, a gwan wicked!!

Yow i couldn't find nowhere to park, saw a spot in front of a gate, an decide sey a it dat. Didn't see any cars or movements over the yard so I asked the neighbors if a vehicle normally parks inside. They said no everything criss. So i left.

Yow when match dun mi noticed the gates wide open an a little papi, bout 60 nuff, stan up near mi van a fumes iyah!!!

When the old man saw me he started screaming, "a your van? mi ago kill yuh bldcltt!!!" Then he dipped into his pocket and came up with a little sixpance.

"Mi sey, mi ago kill yuh bldcltt, yuh disrespect mi an block up di whol ami gate fi ova two hours, yuh little schit yuh!" By then a decent crowd had gathered well interested to see the conclusion.

Well, when i saw him dipped for his pocket my first impulse was to give him a jet li cross him face. But i said no, this papi can't be serious, talking about shooting me, in front of this crowd! He never pointed the gun at me, and he was shaking like a leaf! The man wasn't taking any sorry or excuses. The crowd tried to calm him down too. After he ran out of *****s he finally managed to say "move yuh rhass van now, move it! move it!" Ok papi, nuff said!!

Have to admit i was glad it ended quick, papi was getting unpredictible. I was reaching my decision limit real fast especially when he started waving the gun around. Never planned to die in Harbour View yestesday, so I was really worrying about hitting him and him dying on me....total zouse!

My next visit to Harbour view will keep me faR from the papi dem. Dem wi shoot...

Moby, here's your answer

 Quote:

It started from a very generalized expression of "Almshouse".
Everything good, bad, sad, glad, or whatever was almshouse. Depending on the scenario, "Almshouse" varied in tempo, pitch, volume, clarity, or lenght.

I soon modified it a bit for more emphasis on certain events, like the night when i used my 1975 allegro to frazzle out a 5 series bimma coming from dover raceway! When i described the confrontation to my friends it was "Totalzouse!".

Arnett over Harbour View 5-4 in another classic.
Better than last year and that’s saying something

Hazard over Tivoli 1-0
With a last minute sudden death extra time goal

I felt privileged to be there it was truly a spectacle.

Local football will be fine, trust me.

Phew...........

Soup!

Sunday mi waan link up wid yuh star, 304-9520!

Yuh si how the field dark yow, it's a disgrace! Cho..

Fi real, have to say that double header was as exciting as they come. Only catch the last 20 mins of the 1st game. What a comeback for Arnette, my brethren nearly freaked out. Still, as far as H/view is concerned it just emphasised that Cargil don't really have a plan. Like his amusing all defensive Damion Stewart substitution as soon as Boyd comes on.

The Hazzard game was my game especially from second half onwards! Marco Mcdanald was definetly my man of the match. Yow what a youth impressive! Bombaat, still i was hoping Tivoli to win as they were playing better ball, and what a clash that would be against Arnette Hazzard probably deserved to win as they've been winning all season, bwoy, anybody deserved to win

Still i had a few grouses at the match.
Why these youth won't take shots I mean, even when the Tivoli keeper was griping from that collision the Hazzard youths still wanted to dribble into the box. Any shot from the 18 would cruise past that keeper!! And as we saw the keeper was substituted 2 mins later. Trust mi....it rough. The passing game is still not preferred. Too often the man dem keep up the ball, back themselves into trouble, then still try to kick the ball through the opposition, what are they thinking about yow?

Simplicity, the order of the day.

Well, what are your predictions for the first leg? I don't see Hazzard as a threat to Arnette at all!!!

Zouse mi bredrin,
Mi glad sey the popsie neva shoot you still.
What would the forum do without you.

I also admire the man's ability to remain calm (or did you?) during that exchange with the old guy with the gun. Probaby if it was handled differently it could have resulted in one person dying and another ending up in jail.

For me, I am not sure what I would have done. I probaby would have floored him if the situation looked serious. But I would not wait very long to access the situation.

If I didn't do anything else, I would certainly report him to the police because a man like that -who is threathening to kill another person because he parks in front of his gate - doesn't deserve to carry a license fire arm.

On a more jovial note....you done know sey mi have to buss a joke from this story - no stress still.

Zouse to himself : Bwoy what a nice spot fi park. Can't believe nobody nuh see this spot.
I can't bother to park my SUV beside dem old cars ova deh so.

Half and hour later old popsie drove up and noticed Zouse van park in front of his gate.

Old Popsi to himself : A wanda a which idiot that park in front of mi gate.
mex mi check inside if a mi grand daughter carry man come inna the house again.

Old Popsie rush inside and stormed outside back after 5 minutes .He called over his neigbour over.

Popsie to neighbour: Did you see the idiot wey drive that van deh.

Neighbour: No. but mi hear sey dem have big match ova the stadium so amussi one a dem bwoy deh weh come a match drive it. Mi neva see when him park it dey.

Popsie: Well, I am going show that idiot something today. If him tink sey mi ago wait 2 hours before mi go inna fi mi yard, him mek a sad mistake.

Neighnour: What yuh ago do?

Popsie : Mi ago mash up and shoot up this f***ing van. Dem mi ago get dem bwoy fi push it over gully.

Neighbour: I wouldn't do that if I were you. me hear sey a Tivoli and Arnette garden a play ova dey. The van might belong to one dem shotta dey. Tek mi foolish advise and wait till yuh see a who drive it first.

Popsie : Bwoy a tru still because mi nuh want dem come tek wey mi little gun from me and rape mi granddaugter.
Mi ago wait until him come. If him look rough den mi nah sey nothing but if look soft mi ago rush him.

Neigbour : Yes mi agree with you on that. just don't shoot him. You can scare him but don't shoot him. Mi nuh want go a court go give nuh evidence.

Popsie: No mi nah go shoot him. If him look soft mi ago scare him though.

The rest of the story is history.....

hehehe

Still, popsie is one of those english people who pack up and return a yard, mek up a conspicuous house and constantly patrol the premises daring a dog to step over..

I've been in more aggressive situations than that still, but papi had me thinking the whole night. He reminded me of my father before he died, frail and all... . I certainly wasn't planning to block someone's gate intentionally, and the parking situation is always like that in H/view.

I realized the man was just angry, but I'm definetly glad i didn't hit him still.......

Funny enough i saw him leaning over his gate on my way to the second match.....just like that.

Zouse what a gwaan star. Yuh tun big celebrity...man a pose off pon the I. See mi fellow Canadian ave the board inna stitches at yuh expense. But nuh worry yuhself...tings colda been worse. Mi sure when yuh saw pappy...your first response was "but a wha dis fada".

So Zouse wha appen to deh catty dat yuh did carry?. She decide fi stay wit pappy as the man with the tool is the man that rule? Not to mention the fact that you were hiding behind her as yuh shield?
