Can anyone tell me how CC team look this year? Will they have the services of Alien Whitaker and Sean fraser this season? Do you consider them as strong contenders for this year?

Clarendon, Cornwall. I think this year will be the return of the former Perrenial champions, RUSEAS.
After watching year after years, being penalised for things beyond thier control(One year they had to forfiet because the didnt want to travel in storm conditions)
Ruseas have been cheated for too long.
The Russians Have returned.

Ruseas have been cheated? Please now that the Russians feeder sytems of Montego Bay secondary, Frome, and Anchovy are now in the league they have fallen off.
All and all still I am very upset about the realignment as I think that Zone A is weakened and now the teams that comes out of there aren't " battle hardened" like the old days with man like Tuffy Barnes, Blacks Gaynor etc. Dem days deh a WAR!! Trust me when I say playing away makes playing in Central America looks like fun(seriously)
Anyway respect to Clarendon but right now a payback time and the killing machine nah tek no prisoners.
How in the world one school have National reps a ride the bench? Iyah I have to give it to Clarendon when it comes to having talent

Yo Skipper,
A clarendon mi cum from and from mi deh a CC mi never know of vere as a contender, except inna di 60's with skill cole. vere tech track system is the only ting booming up the school since then, but them have potential though. Dem always give di Clarendon people dem a good game though in the early 90's, they were fierce rivals going back to the 70"s and 80's. As yuh might know addi Chapelton side run tings ha ha ha ha

Pele i take it your a young kid i'm 36 yrs old and a pass student of VERE i graduated in 1982 and let me tell you this, Skipper is right during my days at VERE from the early 70's to the mid 80's...... VERE TECH ruled schoolboy football kid!!! so Pele try an get your facts straight.... Let me just give you some player names and if these guys where playing today they would be on the National team... Here go's Butty Reds one the best wingers, Ditto Bloats -link position none greater, Red ash forward this guy could play, two players that Vere got from WESTLAND, Feathermop and Bunny these guys could score from the half line because of the amount of power they put on the ball.... Pele want more names have you ever heard of guys like Palla, Reds and Paul Hall these guys ran circles around LENWORTH HYDE he used to play for Clarendon College... Pele your young so you dont know the half of it!!!! How can you forget a school called DINTHILL in St Catherine during 1980 and 1981 they had one of the best schoolboy forward in Jamaica his name was "PAUL NEWMAN" this kid was wicked. Pele let me leave you with this one name before i go and maybe Skipper will tell you how good this kid was he left VERE 2 yrs before i went there.. I started in 1979 you probably were'nt born yet this guys name was ANDRED ANDREWS but most people called him (STYLO) i am not 100% sure but i think he has scored the most goals in the history of the Dacosta Cup and that holds true even today.... Stylo went and played in England right after he left Vere he was that good, better than Skill Cole, so Pele if you dont know? Now you know....

Hey Binza
Mi like dat, mi like how yuh come wid it hard core. Brejin all a dem deh stories and players, mi hear bout dem long time from mi a little youth a grow up, suh a nuh news dat to me. Clarendon College team 1977/78 was the best school boy side in the history of jamaican football. If my memory serve me right they had the likes of Tegat Davis, Oniel Russel, Den Den Hutchinson, Lenny Hyde etc., no side in jamaica can compare to them ever. The only team that could stand a chance was the KC team that played in the 50's or 60's that played the brazilian youths team [not sure exactly the year]. When that team grace the field all of jamaica come out to watch the exhibiton of top class ball, dem deh time deh nuttin cyah touch di college. If you are wondering how i know this much, Lenny Hyde was coach at CC and i had all the info from him along with die hard Chapelton supporters, yuh si mi. In closing i have a final thing to put to your attention, the fella Andred Andrews aka SYLO must have played in the 1960's era. If my memory serve me correct and i'm sure all the forumites can back me up on this, the only STYLO in Jamaica football is no other that Dennis Ebanks, check yu source
Peace Nuttin but love
P.S. Mi might young but a ball mi live pon

Hey pele yu almost break mi heart when you refer to Skill like seh him was just another guy. Hear dis, when Skill and Vere a play all you could see from May Pen to Vere was green and gold flags flying from cars and trucks ram packed with man a go match.
I am sure Vere has the most DaCosta cups still. The middle sixties and seventies were RULED by VERE. Some time ALL DaCosta have 10-11 Vere man. Vere started the football scholarship system in D Cup. When Skill was at Vere you never asked who win, you say how much Vere score today ---anywhere from 21-0 to 3-0(Glenmuir). Them youth de never joke.Man like Skill, Corcel Blair, Las Shaw, Bunny Grant, Bobby Coombs (Cool), Bop Campbell etc. etc.
ANYHOW STYLO played in the 70's. Dat youth literally BUS THE NET. Goalies fraid fe touch dat shot.
Clarendon College got super good when Chungie brought my little bretheren BERGER from STETHS about 76 or 77. Den ball start to roll a Chapelton, with Berger, LAZZA, Oneil and dem youth de. After dat You have LENNY (TEACHER) HYDE, Den Den , Che etc.etc.
That 78 team was wicked but dem break me heart when they could not finish off Camperdown at home, and had to wait for a (ball to hand ) penalty against Thomas in the last minute of play.
ANYway NUFF RESPECT TO THE RUSSIANS WHO I NEVER SAW PLAY, who ruled the roost after I left the yard again. They (RUSEAS) always knock off my alma mater Glenmuir in the playoffs. MEK ME CRY ME A TELL YU.
Cool Pele you made a good recovery by naming some decent ballers.
RESPECT TO ALL
