While i might be the only one happy to see BRAZILIAN go, i am equally happy to SEE SIMOES go.

I for one, think that Jamaica's bruk and shiff mentally, was further perpetuated with a Brazilian coach. WE AIN'T got NO SAMBA, we got REAAGE, WE HAVE SPEED.

I am happy with a European, but still cautious. I think jamaican will be in for a major surprize with Barnes. What that surprize is...mmmmmm..All i know, som yardies will be dis-appointed.

I Think a French/Dutch/Portuguese coach, would give us the best of what we have inate to our ballers. Flare, speed and hustle. The English, looks good, due to the African Flare and the non-British players. So, Barnes might be sitting on a GOLDEN EGGG.

????????????????????

You sure Karl.. Barnes who added spice to the dull and boring England.

Barnes, the only English player fi work thru a brazilian defence.

Barnes one of the first flare players England has ever had.

We may not have Samba but we do have whole heap of Reggae dances.

U may find that flare is a part of our game and if it wasn't Jamaicans wouldn't be playing it. If Jamaicans cant do anything in style dem nuh waan do it..

Me personally am upset that Simoes is gone. His departure has just halted the likkle yute development we had going. All the fringe players will now say whats the point. You will suddenly see the performances in the NPL drop as there is no one to impress.

Players will again rush for the New York tournament as the showcase of the year.

JT, i hear yu bro. I was a liverpool/watford due to barnes. when i dreamt of playing big time ball, i en-vision myself dropping crosses in the 6 and 18 yard boxes like barnes. I am just wondering, with his personal playing and coaching experiences, will he play on english game.

He knows the region and JAMAICA, so i am very excited.

I think he will get the players to understand that even when yu bruk and shif it has to be productive and shape and discipline is a must.

But overall Barnes is a Jamaican. Flair is a necessity.

Even when you watch Claude Davis in the premiership. he's good but he wants to defend with Flair and then he compromises the team bcoz the other team deh pon business whilst Davis wants to look good. Davis then loses the ball bcoz unlike Jamaicans who get shame when they get shif, most farin teams nuh care. They just keep coming back at u and plus they are not scared to be rough whereas Jamaicans wait for a team to get physical before they get physical.

I am hoping Barnes can translate the best of both worlds to the players like Campbell ryce, fuller, JJ and Gardner who seem to go all out on the flair side and forget about discipline and shape.

If he can make the goalkeeper and Defence realize they are part of the attack and not just boot the ball upfield. If he can make the midfield realise that there job is bigger than just standing in the middle of the park linking play between defence and the forward line.

See, outside your mindless blistering attacks on the good cap'n me and you can agree on sintings. Interestingly, Evon Taylor is missing from all the Reggaeboyz.com guru's lineup for the upcoming matches. I really hope this youth is steered to the right club and not just end up ala Bookie. This youth has got some quality. I am the first to agree that he was thrown to the Mexican wolves, but if he continues on the same path Simoes had him on, he may become quite usefull for the Coca Cola Championship....plus I love his rags to apparent riches story. Maybe we should have retained Simoes as TD....see it deh jt, mi hadmit to it.....

Jray, what is the diffrence with what simoes was doing and what Bora did? Bora, got fired and a breach of contract to boot. What was at steaks at that time. Simoes, doing this youth movement in the heat of battle makes no sense. Plus, when he played lesser teams he had the big guns. Do you know that Barnes won't selectively give 1-2 youth a run. He scouted the region and namely jamaica recently, and even though he picked guys, he had high compliments for some not picked in JA.

Not sure why your post was directed at me. Not advocating the throwing the youngsters into the heat of battle.

Well that was really my quest Jray. To get you to think differently.

Burrell should have just put Simoes pon the spot. Do like him trini friend Jack and just take Simoes away from senior team selecta post and hold a pay cut. If Simoes walked then we would be certain that all that talk about love for Jamaica was crap and that he was on an ego trip.

But Burrell is also on an ego trip and thats what I prefer to speak about... heh heh...
