The world is being held ramson by the actions of these 3 incompetent leaders .

George Bush

Face with his first major International delemma and he is failing the test miserably.

His administration doesn't want to follow the path that Clinton took with respect to the middle east peace plan. They said that the Clinton-Gore administration took the wrong approach because theye were too involved. The Repubilcans played the wait and see game and the Irealies interpreted that to be a 'green light'. Now the entire middle east turned upside down.

Bush's first reaction when Isreal forces marched into Palistinian territory and stormed Yassa Arafat's palace was "Isreal have a right to defend itself from terrorism and that Arafat needs to do more to stop terrorism". He stressed completely on the terrorism part without touching the political aspect and the fact that Isreal continues to disobey the UN resolution which orders them to remove from Palistinian territories.

Bush who - was probably upset that his "side kick" Dick Chaney, came back from the middle east empty handed after he was given the impossible responsibilty of garnering support and allies to bomb Iraq - came under fire from the major Arab leaders immediately for his irresponsible statement - given the seriousness of the situation.

The ARABS not only threatened further terrorist actions against the USA but they also hinted that they may impose an oil embargo against the USA. Actually Iraq has been leading this charge for a while now.

Now if an oil embargo is impose on the frailing US economy- what do you think will happen to us. As I write this note, I heard that gas prices are going up because oil prices have gone up to a 6 month high and this is directly related to the unstable situation in the middle east.

Bush seems all bent on attacking Iraq but he he can forget about this right now and start taking an active interest in getting at least a cease fire in the Middle east.

Ariel Sharon
This must be the stupidest leader alive. This man blunders more often that how mi shower. First he caused the assination of the only Isreal leader who was capable of getting peace in the region by denouncing the man publicly. It was his irresponsible actions that caused the fanatic to assinate the man.

He then stated publicly that he should have killed Arafat 20 years ago when he had the chance. Not very smart thing to say for a leader.

Now he is trying to isolate Arafat by killing off all his security guards and keep in in a room without telephone, light, food and water. This man is so stupid that he honestly think that the suicide bombings are going to stop if he isolate Arafat and cut off all communication between him and his people. Since his actions, the sucide bombings have escalated and there is not sign of a cease fire in sight.

He has ignored all the UN security resolutions and could not care a damn about what the rest of the world has to say.
This man's strategy is to fight fire with fire. No negotiation!!! Just attack defenseless people for every suicide bomb that goes off.

Tell Arafat to denounce the bombing and sure it will all stop,

Now , Isreal is suffering - politically, socially and economically. People are migrating in large numbers and those that remain are so scared that they don't go out anymore.

The ecomony is in shamble because tourism is almost non-existent and businesses are closing on rapid basis because no one is coming out of their houses.

Obviously this is not good for Isreal and it is in their best interest if they try to engage peace talks now!!

Yassa Arafat

He is another fool who is just a 'figure head' , nothing more. He is consisder the Palistinian leader but he is not capable of leading anyone. He just have that title by default. The Palistinians have not gotten anything under his leadership except bloodshed. He got a reasonable deal the other day and allowe the Arab world to pursuade not to accept it. The same Arab world who are turning a blind eye to his problems. His people are suffering but there is no justification to sending 16 years old 'female' student to blow herself up and kill other young people who don't have anything to do with the war. He may not be the one sending them but he is definately condoning it.
I saw the parents of the girl who blew up herself weeping and mourning because they didn't know or supported it. The girl was a high school validictorean and had just gotten engaged so that means that she must have decided or forced to to this evil and insane thing just recently.
In the video that the girl recorded before she blew up herself, she called the rest of the Arab world 'cowards' for sitting by and allowing females to fight the war.

But the Arab world do not want peace in the middle East. Most of them do not recognize the state of Isreal.
They fuel the war by secretly providing weapons but they will not accept Palistinian refugees.
The Palistinians are suffering in the mean time.

Yassa Arafat should do the honourable thing and walk out of his little room with is AK45 firing at the Isreali and therefore dying as a martyr. That would be the best thing he would done for the Palistinians.

Tony Blair

Now it was Britain who share up the land and caused all these problems yet you have not heard anything from them. They should be leading the charge to resolve the problems down there because they caused it.

It is the same way they split India and Paskistan and purposely left Kasmere 'relatively unowned' so that the two country can fight enternally over it. Now the world is face with a possible Nuclear war. Britain's stratgety is this - If you get them to fight all the time then they will not get any chance to develop.

Europe was so invloved in the little Zimbabwe elections the other day but they don't want to get invlove in this major conflict which can potentially cause the end of the world.

You know that the world is coming to a end when Isreal start mash up the town of Bethlehem where Jesus was borned.

****..I thought I said I wasn't going to get political on this forum...just have some time at my hand today because everything at work is ahead of schedule...and Zouse nah offer my nuh competition .

peace

Double-B good post but the name is (YASSER) not YASSA and the deal that was offered to the Palestinians the other day was an offer they could and did refuse.

I dont know all the details of it but it was not what was agreed to by the U.N. and the PLO top people reviewed it and decided it was a no go (ANNAN ASHAWARI and Mr. BARAKAT the PLO second in command) said the offer was no good.

This was designed so that Israel could say "see we told you so, these people dont want peace".

Dont quote me on this because i could be wrong, there is a saying that Israel will never see peace until the return of the Messiah, no i am not trying to be like Hamilton Israel the guy is a fanatic when it comes to this topic now let me move on.

The Gulf war as been over at least 11 years now, why is IRAQ still under sanctions?? SADDAM is doing the right thing by not letting anymore so called U.N. inspectors in his country..

Binza, -first time I've seen the I- I'm only responding so as to help you understand, as oppose to defending against what you have called me.

The word "fanatic" is not a evil word, except what one is involved in determines whether or not there is evil. One of the definitions for the word "fanatic" is "one inspired by diety;" I chose to accept this definition for this exemplifies what I'm about.

The reason why you may have called me a fanatic is because of my extensive post on the subject of Bible prophecy. Well, this is one of my area of study. If someone said to you that they have spent a number of years studying any particular subject shouldn't they have considerable amount of info. on their subject matter? Yes they would, I'm no different.

I do not go about my life 24/7 thinking about Bible prophecy. No more than a mechanic or a nurse think about their work all day and night long.

So, Read and enjoy for there is more on the way. Wouldn't you like to know what the book of Revelation is saying to our times? It's being one of the most intriguing book, inside of a book since it was written by John, given to him by the Lord Jesus Christ.

With crisis' that we are seeing popping up all over, many would like to know what the Bible have to say about these things.

I'm on this forum not only to inform, but to let all 'ites know where their destiny lies, and that the Bible is true and Jesus is truly who he said he his.

So, no worry yourself ya Binza, cause if yu did know who I know you would-a be the same, in whatever area of study he would have you in.

Thanks for the correction mi brethren. To be honest with you, I never really penetrate the spelling of the name before – I listened to the news and it sound like dem a say ‘Yas-sa’ to me rather that ‘Yas-sir’ ‘Yas-ser’.

I am talking about the deal that was worked out a camp david with the previous Isreal prime Minister – I think his name was Burak or something (Bwoy dem man yah name hard fi spell sah).
It was a good deal (the best yet) and should have been accepted – but Arafat allowed the Arabs (who don’t care about the plight of the Palistinians) persuade him from taking it.
Now it doesn’t seem like anything like that will be on the table anytime soon.

No problem Chez,
Initially, I had only plan on writing about the first 3 guys but while I was writing it suddenly dawn on me that Tony Blair’s government should shoulder some of the responsibilities also. Just get a little carried away. I was in such a rush to get out of the office that I did even get a chance to re-read article and correct some of the glaring spelling and grammatical mistakes.
I don’t know much about Tony Blair but he doesn’t seems to inept to me. Actually it seems like he’s one of the best Prime Minister that Britain has had for a long time –just my opinion – what do I know about Britain?

I just thought he (Blair) handled himself well when the Afghanistan war began and during the bombing of Serbs.

Respect Ddread.

Seems like the middle east drama continues...

Bush has now changed his message and start getting tough on Isreal. He is now ordering them out of Rumulla and other Palistinian territories. It is still confusing as to what exactly is Bush's message is, because he is still calling Arafat a terrorist and saying that he does not deal with terrorist, YET he is sending Colin Powell (poor Colin) to the middle east next week to meet with Arafat.

Another interesting development is that Isreali troops fire tear gas and 'stun' grenade and rubber bullets at an international(including US) media envoy yesterday - injuring several and smashing several of CNN vehicles. The media envoy was on its way to meet with Arafat who is being held under house arrest in his destroyed Rumulla office.

I guess the Isreali were embarassed because earlier in the week a group of people actual forced themeselves pass the troops and enter the PLO leader's compound -giving him a lot of publicity and support.

There are a bunch of Palistinians civilians and security personnel trapped in the holy temple in Bethlehem -where Jesus was borned. Isreali troops are firing at the temple.

Isreal has arrested thousands of Palistinians and several civilians are reported to have been killed in the cross fire.

It has also been reported that ambulances are being prevented from entering some of these areas where the wounded are located. People are bleeding to death.

A spokesman for Sharon actually said that they now believe that the current problems in the middle east cannot be solved militarily -whew!!!. But even though he is saying that the fighting continues and they continue to disobey the UN and now the USA (is there a difference) demands to take their troops out of the Palistinian territories.

Isreali troops are now occupying at least 6 Palistinian occupied terrorities...I wonder where is Truetrini?

You would think that since the USA is actually financing the entire Isreali defense budget, that they would at least listen to the USA - but no.

Isreal said that they are not going to anex anymore Palistinian territories (land), and that they will withdraw only when they have completed their mission (mistry mission?)-regardless of what anybody says.

Meanwhile the US can only sit and watch 'US made Arms' used to kill innocent civilians.

It was reported that cash strapped Sadam is offering $25K to the family of each suicide bomber. Now that is sick.

Sadam is also vigorously garnering the support of the Arab world to join him in the fight against the West. He is trying to destroy the fragile coalition and all US interests in the middle east. for the first time, the Arab leaders are now listening to Sadam because Bush came out and called Iran , Seria (and can't remember the other one) and labeled them as terrorist states.

Sadam is trying to get the arab world to cut- back on oil supply and to impose an oil embargo on the USA.

The Saudi government is confused right now because they are been pressured by both sides.

Because of the current war with the Taliban and US continued support of Isreal -the anti US sentiments in the middle east and other muslim countries are at an all time high right now.

The story goes on...

Some of these "peace plans" they offer Palestine on the surface they look nice but when the Palestinians read the fine print - they have to walk away.

The sticking points always revolve around these things:

1. Who do the temples belong to.

2. Allowing the millions of refugees to return.

3. The return of land taken in the 1967 war.

4. The refusal of Israel to stop bulldozing Palestinians from their land and building or enlarging settlements and roads and highways even after signing peace treaties which call for an end of such.

Remember war is good for holders of "war stocks", so why hurry to bring war to an end, hence one can obfuscate the issue wid "diplomatic footsy". And the rich oil barons/politicos of the area - they continue to tan on decks of their fat yachts floating in the blood of the fellowmen. But one should look at the principles on which Zion was founded to undastand where this is going.

Tony Blair, while he is not inept, is a nasty piece of work. If anybody has had the privilege of seeing what he was like before say 1990 and how he is now, then you would be amazed to see the change. He realised at which altar he had to pray to become Prime Minister.

Many of my American friends keep saying to me. "You have such a good leader". Well compared to the village idiot in the White House, he would.

ANother thing that made me laugh was on Friday in an interview with Sir Trevor McDonald, George Bush when asked if he felt the Palestinians should have a new leader, said "Far be it for the American President to tell anyone who to have as a leader!"

Either this was a brillaint piece of dark humour or the man seriously has no idea of what his country has done in history.

Or maybe the propaganda reach him to

JT, he is not fooling me one bit. I don't care one bit who the prime minister of Britain is. I am just saying that the man seems more knowledgeable than at least the previous one -John Major.

So how would you compare him to Margaret Thatcher and John Major?

I agree that he seems to be much better leader than Mr Texas Ranger.

In my view he is the same as Thatcher just that people are much wiser now so I cant see him lasting that long... Major was too much of a GEEK.... And wasn't strong enough to handle press critisnm and pressure..

Politicians, by the very nature of their work, are open to criticism of everything they do and say, and quite rightly so, but have there been any good leaders in world history? (By that I mean PRESIDENTS/PRIME MINISTERS etc... not leaders of causes/groups etc.).

Like every opinion, it is relative, but are there any leaders whom the majority believe are worthy of the title of "good"?

Whilst he had his faults, I am admire Winston Churchill for his leadership in times of adversity, and for his wit and intelligence.

As far as non-ruling leaders go, I admire Ghandi for his wisdom and strength.

Jus' my shilling's worth.

HL, you should also remmber that Churchill was quitein favour of using checmical weapons against black people and most of the major losses in WW1, where thousands of people were sacrificed to gain tens or hundreds of yards occured under him when he was in the Ministry of War.

Also the famous speech that you hear whcih goes along the lines of "We must fight them on the beaches etc.."

He did say that, but only to Parliament. The recording they play on the radio or TV was in fact done by an impersonator.

Also Churchill's at the time must not have been as popular since he was voted out at soon after the war in favour of Clement Attlee.

Maybe just maybe in his death he became greater to the people?

...and so the crisis in the Middle East continues.

Bush
Bush has been trying for the past 4 days now to get Isreal to start pulling out of the Palistinian territories but instead of listening they increase their aggression against defenseless civilians. As of today,
Isreal has pulled out of one terroritory but has gone into two new ones.

Bush went as far as to call Sharon personally. Sharon told him that he will wrap up his 'unknown' mission quickly but he later addressed his parliament with a defiant speech stating that he will not withdraw his troops until the mission is completed.
Bush is now getting visibly upset because Sharon is not only embarassing him but showing up his very weak foreign affairs skills.

As bad as thing was with Clinton....Sharon would not try that with him. You really have to wonder what would have happened if the Gore-Liberman (Jewish guy) was in power.

Bush sent Colin Powell (on his 65th birthday) down to the middle east on Sunday.
Powell's first stop was Morocco. He will be in Egypt today and probably in Isreal Thursday.
It is being strongly rummured that Powell went to the middle east with not just one impossible mission, but two.

First impossible mission is not only to get a cease fire between the Isreali and the Palistinians but to get them to start the diplomatic process -not sure how he is going to achieve this when Sharon is not even listening to Bush.

The second and more important impossible mission is to try and get more positive results (than what Dick Chaney was able to get) from the Arabs leaders - for the strike against Iraq.

In the meantime, Irag continues to be defiant. Sadam says that the USA will be defeated if they attack his country.

Up to yesterday, Bush was still talking out of the two sides of his mouth. He is demanding that Isreal pull out of the Palistinian Territories but he is also saying that Isreal has the right to defends itself from terrorist activities and that Arafat needs to condemn these activities.

Sharon
Sharon is being consistent with his plans. Before he became prime minister, he strongly critisized all the former leaders and possible cause them to lose elections after elections. His main concern was the security of the State of Isreal. His motto is "security come first - by any means necessary".

Sharon is determined that he can resolve this crisis with the Palistinians militarily rather than politically. He is willing to put his entire political career on this.

What has he achieved so far :

1. He has angered the USA, his one and only true friend.

2. By trying to isolated Arafat, he has succesfully isolated Isreal from the rest of the world as every country is calling for the end to his aggression. Europe is considering economic sanctions and most Arabs countries have already cut off diplomatic ties with Isreal.

3. He has successfully convinced the world (even those who were previously sympathetic to his cause) that Isreal is not a saint in this crisis - infact Isreal could be considered as the aggressor.

4. He has shown up his ignorance and lack of experience as a leader.

5. He has shown no respect for the United nations.

Sharon has instructed his troops to damage road and other infrastructure in Palistinian terriorities to prevent journalist from getting in there. They accidentally or intentionally damage under ground pipes, maines and sewer system causing all kings of chaos and havoc. Most areas are without water, heat and electrity. People are not allowed to go out to get food or go to work.
Houses ,churches, temples, office buildings, shops , trees etc are being shelled and levelled. Most of these things are not insured because this is a 'war zone'.
Several thousands are being killed and arrested.
The dignity of the Palistinians is not being respected.

In the mean time the entire world just sit back and watch while people are suffering. Nobody is listening to the many appeals for help-because these people are branded as 'terrorists.

Arafat
Arafat is still sitting in his delapidated 'mashed down' office in Ramalla all alone with a candle. Most of his scurity guards either killed, injuried are arrested.
He is probaby wondering what is going to be the next step because he does not control his fate. As a leader, he must be wondering what can he do to alleviate the suffering fo his people - possible be a martyr.

Sharon has 4 options for him :
1. Kill him -big mistake!!
2. Isolate him -for how long though?
3. Send him into Exile -Bigger mistake
4. Negotiate with him -probably he will take the offer now...

One thing is sure, the Palistinians will continue to fight for their lands. They only have one effective weapon and they are not afraid to use it. Sharon's mission may have slowed them down a bit but until meaningful dialogue (which address all the points -Guidance, i see you) there is no end in sight for the conflict.

Next...how does the current middle east crisis affects us in the West and what happens if an all out war between Isreal and Arabs begins? Does US fight with Isreal? Which side does China and Russia take?

Maybe Hamilton Isreal wants to tell us his interpretation of what the book of revelation says about all of this.

I listened to a man name Jack Van Impe and this man scares the hell out of me when he tries to explain revelation and the relationship to what is going on in the middle east.

He even mentioned that the bible says that Russia and China will be soon be drawn into the war - against Isreal....

There is a likkle known or hardly mentioned aside to the mideast conflict.
Conflict eh!
How often u hear dat.
Let me pause here.
This is no conflict but a pogrom to push the Palestinians where grass nu grow or birds dare fly. Total extinction.

Now back to story
In the days when nuff a unu did inna nappy
There was a group called Hamas who use to do nuff humanitarian work fi dem people
PLO then were considered a plague and certain elements thought funding Hamas would provide a friendlier and controllable alternative to the PLO - so funds were let off to Hamas to help in their struggle for humanity.

Anyway Hamas story come to bump and there was a falling away. Hamas cut ties and find sey "a use dem a use wi".
Now Hamas becomes di plague.

As the world turns dem sey, eh!

btw Double u would have to put the spy plane incident in China and 911 ahead of the present conflict as the 1st real int'l dilemmas fi di prez an his frigid war team.

G, i am aware of those two, but remember that he had the full support of the democrats and republicans with those.
Now he is alone with this one because he critisized Clinton's middle east strategy and don't have one for himself.

Anyway, I heard that he has changed his words again and publicly stated that Clinton is not to be blamed for the current middle east crisis , so there is hope for the two parties to work together again.

Bear in mind inventories were flying out of warehouses in most of Clinton's years. Now warehouses are full and salesmen have to log more miles just to get one order. With a stagnant, now jus beginning to sputter economy every sale helps, bell helicopters and all. So although peace is the ultra-ultimate goal one has to make a buck. So u affi look at the strategy within, opaque maybe, the strategy. As long as the con-flict is manageable the strategy may have been met.
