Based on his form over the last 9-12 months, I think John Barnes should seriously consider Adlam for the Haiti match.

I'm sure tappa will fill him in on the top players in the DPL to select for the upcoming matches and Adlam will be at the top.

Harbour View has signed Adlam for the 2009/10 season......a talent young midfield.

-----------------------------------------------

There were whispers around the ground and greetings of "Welcome back" when juvenile sensation and former Central Academy top marksman Alanzo Adlam took the field with the youthful Harbour View aggregation. The little midfield master stamped his class from the opening whistle, and with defence splitting passes from the deep, kept Rae Town constantly under pressure

Mr. Adlam has started the DPL season very strong at Harbour View, and has a top level work rate. Tappa had a look at him last week in camp but a definate starter for the u23s next summer.

Adlam makes instant impact upon return to Sporting
Published: Tuesday | January 12, 2010

Richard Bryan, Gleaner Writer

Adlam

Sporting Central Academy held onto a top-six Digicel Premier League placing following a 2-1 victory in their final round two game over Rivoli at Brancourt on Sunday.

The win, their fourth this round, took them to 18 points and 28 overall. Despite missing the chance to earn their first End-of-Round final, the Clarendon team celebrate their best round haul in three years of competing at this level. It was the return of Alanzo Adlam, whose 83rd minute goal ended a prolonged period of frustration for the team, which pleased tmanagement the most.

"This goes to show he belongs here," an elated Brandon Murray, club owner/manager, told The Gleaner.

"He went to Harbour View and scored only one goal, but he is most comfortable in our set-up. He is a natural goalscorer and is the best person for our team at this time."

Singing the blues

Earlier, Murray was singing the blues and crying out for a saviour after the league's leading striker, Devon Hodges, curled home an 11th minute free kick from 20 yards to silence the Clarendon team's faithfuls with his 14th goal of the season.

Later, Hodges would curse his luck when injury forced his substitution in the 81st minute, forcing him to watch helplessly from the sidelines as his team surrendered the advantage in the last 10 minutes of the game.

For Sporting Central, Hodges' goal began 70 frustrating minutes in which they muffed their customary spate of easy chances. However, they were spared their second defeat of the round through former national Under-20 teammates - Adlam and Levaughn Williams.

Return from a loan transfer

Adlam, whose return from a loan transfer to Harbour at the start of the 2009 season was facilitated through the transfer window that opened on January 1, came on as a substitute for Romaine Barnes in the 62nd minute. His previous goal this season had come via a penalty for Harbour View, early in the first round.

His ecstatic celebration on scoring mirrored that of the entire Sporting bench. It was remarkable that, as the shortest player on the field, he rose high to clinically head home Marlon Allen's lofted cross in the 83rd minute, a complete contrast to the efforts of Oneke Ford and François Swaby who had their chances earlier.

Not content with just an equaliser, Sporting went in to overdrive and, aided by the ultra-defensive approach of the visitors, were rewarded through another of their young national guns, Williams, who had missed first-round play due to injury.

His goal was something special as, after collecting a throw from another of his former national Under-20 teammates, Keithy Simpson, on the far right side, Williams turned brilliantly and unleashed a left-footed drive from 25 yards that flew past goalkeeper Leon Goffe before he could react.

Sporting Central Academy 2

Alanzo Adlam 83rd

Levaughn Williams 90th

Rivoli United 1

Devon Hodges 11th

IF not live then at least a few clips here and there.

At some point we have to stop petting and pampering foolishness.
HOw can you as a club a bawl bout money and lack of sponsorship when you aren't taking the steps to go out deh and go get it?

YOU NEED TO BE FRI$$!N VISIBLE!!

I mean come on now? Is it asking too much to at least form a central committee and get a facebook page for each and every club?

I tell you bwoy this damn western union mentality is killing our people and only when we hit rock bottom and discover our Jamaicaness will we rise again.

Getting sick and tired of this foolishness. Enough is enough we no supposed to a carry this crap into 2010

Portmore Duo on Trial Stint with MLS Clubs
January 19, 2012 | Filed underArticles,Club News,Club Teams,News,Other News,Press Releases,Red Stripe Premier League News,Teams | Posted by JamFedadmin

Portmore United FC’s drive to yet another title in this year’s Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) could suffer a serious setback in the coming weeks if two of their key players, Andrew Vanzie and Alanzo Adlam are successful in their trial stints with United States Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs Seattle Sounders and DC United respectively.

Twenty-one year old Vanzie, the former Dacosta Cup representative of Garvey Maceo High School and who has been a lynch pin in Portmore United’s midfield this season, has represented the Reggae Boyz at the U23 level and made his debut for the senior team in an international friendly against Ecuador in Quito last September. At age 22 Adlam, who plied his trade in the Manning Cup at Excelsior High and has represented the Reggae Boyz at the U20 and U23 levels, has been critical to a resurgent Portmore United offensive attack having scored 8 goals so far this season to sit atop the tables as joint scoring leader with four other players.

Said Portmore United’s Chairman Wayne Sinclair, “This is a fantastic opportunity for Andrew and Alanzo. Though it is always a challenge to replace such a key part of your setup, we continue to support our core philosophy of putting the personal and professional development of our players ahead of what may be the best interests of the team. We have the depth to continue our successful run so far this season, and sincerely hope that these trials will result in a permanent move for both players”.

Vanzie’s trial stint with the Sounders is set to last for four weeks and he departed the island on Tuesday (January 17th). Adlam is set for a two week stint with DC United and he leaves for his trial on Monday January 23rd.

Is Adlam the same quality as Darren Mattocks, Keammar Daley, Joel Grant or even Andre Clennon?

Adlam has a good chance of making the DC United squad. They lack depth at the forward positions and they also have four(4) international roster spots open and he is most likely not that expen$ive.

Good Luck Mr. Adlam with DC.

Bway Jamaican a something else. Nothing in that article say anything about the reason for the cut. Why couldn't the assumption be Mr. Adlam was just not what the team is looking for right now to fit in their squad? Many trial players around the MLS are getting cut as the days and week(s) goes by.

Dat wat am saying Jamatl. Whether the person 'sense'/assuming that it's the guy attitude cause the cut..when it would've been just the same to 'sense/assume' he was just not the right fit for what the squad is looking for.

In the professional environment, 'has been let go' has a very negative connotation.

Most of our local players do not get past the basic SHOOTING DRILLS.........Some of these poor chaps do not even get a chance to display their skills on the field.....
