last night mi a work and a nice girl ayaid mi up in a di places
a co-worker said nine yu know that trini-gal, i said yes but i was shock thinking that the girl was from JAMAICA well she always a talk yardie and its been two years since i have know her. so triniman i need your HELP!!!!should i keep on talking jamaica to her or should i busts out some trini my trini is not that good and i don't want to make fun of her i like to keep things real YU KNOW HOW IT IS IN TORONTO. well i need your help because half of the jamaicas are turning out to be trini'which is all good only the women dem for the men should always keep their own talk.

the triniwoman are nice nothing wrong with their accent its just that i can not give them the OH GOSH OH GOSH ,ALLYUH ALLYUH BWOY ALLYUH LOOK GOOD Gurl,it nu sound right the trinigirls a look for the yard accent,just cool trini mi know the toronto yu a talk bout is just a BLOCK OF PEOPLE,nuff tiniwomen yu na run out!  :

Triniman my fren i think you are truly confused......
Firstly most of the artist you listed weh sing soca never did, their voice were spliced over soca rythms...
And the ones that did, did it for the $$(made off of trinis and other westindians, never mek no $ in JA with soca), and not for the love of the music, so if you're proud that Ja artists sang soca and exploited and made money off of your people, your carnival and your culture, then frankly so am I (good business) I never hear a trini dancehall artist( and there are a lot in trini who try, like "general something or the other") come yard and make a $ or even perform.. So you should be embarrased that a yard man can try sing soca for the first time come to your carnival, get book at every major show, contend for the road march, sing pon de biggest truck and mek big $$, we have beaten you at your own game(sigh) poor triniman ...Furthermore what difference does it make if a few artist mek a money off soca, the general population of Jamaica rebukes it, of course you will always find exceptions like your fren dem in Canada, but on a whole picture 1) Jamaicans generally do not acknowledge soca 2) Many Jamaicans view dancehall artists that try a soca thing as sellout (right or wrong is true) 3) The average Jamaican is not concerned with Trinidad( and shamefully many couldn't tell you where Port of Spain is) 4) The average trini loves reggae/dancehall 5) Young trinis know more of our music history than their own...And finally Of course we love work trini girls,(b/c we can them) love see dem wine yes!! so wha?!!
Trinman face it, Trinidadians are stuck on Jamaica, in love with our culture, envious of our international success and recognition (everyone in the world knows where JA is, i have met soo many people who have never heard about trinidad) I just dont understand why Trinis continue to be in this one-sided envious beef with yard!! especially when your contry is better off.
So triniman, there is absolutely no rift btwn JA and trini, from a Ja perspective we could care less....get over it man.
I never hear a Yard man try speak trini..
But i cannot stop counting the amount of Triniman i hear here in FL, a try speak like we, a triniman saying blood*****t just dont sound right...
Get over it triniman.

poor triniman, i know this latest round of yard bashing reared its ugly head since '98 when we made the WC, i know poor ting, you guys came soooooooooo close in '89, you can there were 4 less slots open then, but sigh...we were the first westindians to dance in the big dance..
