good uck today guys hope u can further ease ur relegation woes with a win here is a good article that sums up the situation....
Allardyce the action manager By Ian Ladyman
If success as a Premiership manager is partly about having the courage of your convictions when it matters most, then Sam Allardyce will earn another season at football's top table. New Bolton man Youri Djorkaeff with Villa veteran Steve Staunton (MichaelSteele/Allsport) It is, of course, easy to manage when things are going well, but the true test comes when adversity sets in. The Bolton manager has experienced both situations this season and it would appear that he has found within himself the answers at just the right time.
Seeing his team sliding towards relegation a month ago, Allardyce took decisive action. Out went the prolific but immature goalscorer Michael Ricketts, in came World Cup-winning striker Youri Djorkaeff.
Adding the France hero to a plethora of other continental signings, such as Fredi Bobic, Stig Toftig and now Kostas Konstantinidis, was a risky piece of business.
But after back-to-back wins against Charlton and Aston Villa, Allardyce has been vindicated.
Victory at Everton today would take Bolton to within three or points of safety and represent a remarkable turnaround.
In attempting to explain the reasons behind his move to England from Kaiserslautern, Djorkaeff said: 'I needed a club to give me responsibilities. Bolton have done that. Bolton needed someone like me and I needed a club like them.'
He and Bobic are unlikely to remain at Bolton beyond the end of this season. But in signing them on short-term contracts, Allardyce may have earned the club the platform upon which the more youthful talents of Ricketts and Kevin Nolan can grow.
Nolan played a crucial role in the win over Villa. The first goal came when his shot took a deflection off Mark Delaney, and it was Nolan's free-kick in the 76th-minute that proved to be the game's defining moment.
He said: 'That was the sweetest goal I have scored for the club as it means so much to us. We could be safe now with two more good results.'
Having already scored at Old Trafford and Anfield this season, Nolan would appear to have an appetite for the big occasion, and the boyhood Liverpool fan knows that another at Goodison Park today could be enough to keep Bolton in the Premiership.
He added: 'I'm looking forward to going to Goodison. It would be fantastic to win there.'
Bolton will come against a familiar face in defender Alan Stubbs, who will try to save his beloved Everton from relegation for the first time in 51 years.
Stubbs, whose defensive partner David Weir is a reported target of Manchester United, began his career at Bolton and spent six years with the club.
'I still look for their results but at the end of the day it's Everton first and foremost now,' he said. 'I hope they stay up but if it came down to me choosing between us and them, there wouldn't be any doubt about which I'd choose.'
Everton boss David Moyes, whose Preston team were beaten in the First Division play-offs by Bolton last May, has told his players to put Friday's 6-2 defeat at Newcastle behind them. He said: 'We have to remain positive. We've taken six points out of nine and if that continues, we'll be happy.'

Bolton trailing 1-nil at half time at Everton. Both teams playing with 10 men after having players ejected - Duncan Ferguson in the 20th minute for Everton and new boy Kostas Kostantinidis in 31st minute for Bolton.

The American...Reyna scored two wicked goals today...could of had a hatrick...He's playing for Sunderland... Seems more effective than England hopeful Kevin Phillips.

Bibi had one of his poorer games yesterday (by his own recent high standards). The defence was poor, things probably would have been alright if Kostas hadn't been sent off.
Disappointing to think we could have been all but safe - think 2 wins should do it, hopefully will achieve that against Ipswich and Tottenham, in next 2 home games. I fear if we lose to Ipswich we could be doomed - in saying that if we lose to Ipswich we don't deserve to play in the Prem!!
