I'm back for the Easter holidays, sorry if i repeat old news but i've not got time to catch up on all the old postings!
Things are looking better, beat Charlton 2-1 yesterday, Djorkaeff got both goals but Bibi played well again.
Saw the reserves play on Wednesday, beat Sheffield Wednesday 6-2! JJ was very good, and derserved a goal. Not one misplaced pass, he played and controlled the centre of midfield, he's certainly looking more like a player who can make a serious challenge for a 1st team place, at least on the bench. His only downfall might be his attitude, but that's for him to control the ability is definately there and he's learnt how to use it to both his own and the teams benefit, more so then when i saw him last.
Great to be back.

I've heard it rumoured that his inability to take criticism is one of the reasons Sam has chosen not to play him as often as he perhaps would. From Wednesday night i saw him sulk and stomp around like a spoiled baby when a decision didn't go his way.

If he doesn't mature at Bolton, he will be lucky to be given a chance at a better club. I'm sure that the players he is surrounded with (Djorkaeff, Bibi, Ricketts, Nolan, etc) help keep his feet on the ground.
Welcome back Cat!

A long time people in the football community know that he has a behavior problem. However, the worst of these young touths IS Omar Daley! Him a tell all coach go nyam out dem muma and him a balla so him no affi come atrainin much less on time. Just one person dispute this that has link to the youth or Hazard!!!!!!!!!! He is rumoured to be the next Lowe in our outfit if not boyd in terms of temper tantrums and progressive disrespectful behavior. I wish that he could just prove me wrong. Now he's linked to Bolton lets hope maturity reings and he not blighted the future for other promising Reggae Boyz. I hate to be this pessimistic on players but I wish their behavior would change before dem sey people a wash dem mout pon dem. Well I hope he gets a contract soon and a level head. Lawd have mercy pon di pearl cause him nah go mek nuh money a New Kingston, show him a ballfield.

Grinds you really think it's a good Idea for Bolton to sign another knuckle head from JA, making it two knuckle heads -from JA- on the same team?
Knuckle head + Knuckle head = you know what I mean potentially...
It's the coaches from JA who did not exercise discipline over these players why they are the way they are today. These young players need to know that soccer is different from basketball, and that they need time on the field to develop. It does not take long to lose form. Being left off the first team because of behavior is only a setback to the player himself for further oppurtunities. Soccer doesn't even come close to Basketball as far as compensation is concern, and unless you have the pass of Beckham, and the shot of Hasselbaink, it's best as a youth to walk humble. You neva know what the furture holds, and opportunity you are given today could turn into a disaster tomorrow. I'm especially referring to Omar Dailey, who, if those comments from Grinds are true of him it's really sad.
He has had to many youth and youth friends talking to him about how good he his, and that is all it seems he listened to. He needs a shock, back into reality.......

What you gentlemen(and Lady) are talking about goes beyond just the ballplayers it is the "General Jamaican" attitude that is prevalent in the country today.
Trust me when I say that when the President of the JFF can tell a reporter who ask a question to jump in the sea then you see that it is bigger than just the ballers.
When the Minister of Security can tell a reporter to suggest ways to improve security instead of criticising him then we see this problem in the broader context.
right now in Jamaica there is hardly any middle ground and "conflict resolution" skills are almost non existent. "If a guy diss me jus lik him dung" "Bad man no inna no long talking" That is how we are raised and it is coming back to haunt us.
Not absolving JJ of any blame but I just wanted to point out that if we are to root out the problem we have to first understand it.
Having said all that allow me to bun a fire pon the JFF(so much for conflict resolution)
sleep is the cousin of death
