Apparently, Shelton and Fuller have been called up, but Fuller might not play due to him just coming off injury.

Also why put shelton behind burton who is a good supplier nowadays

Phillips' and Gardner's positions do not matter-they interchange for attack and defense. They are inter changeable parts.

Shelton- The "Maverick" needs real estate to run. BMO field is small and the surface is fast . You want him entering the box with the ball at his feet instead of trying to beat 'keeper, Pat Onstad to a 50-50 ball.

Burton's passes will be supplied from deep- Jerry or Andy
Burton does not need the real estate, he plays with his back to goal.

I tell you this "second coming" is really close to his "second going". Of all the planning, preparation, open letters, training sessions and practice games and this is all he he could come up with? I was one of them that was excited for his return but now I am not too sure if it was the right thing. I hope he can prove us wrong!

Maybe Simoes is trying to avoid this problem:

I cannot believe that is the best team Simoes can find to play Canada. That Canadian squad is strong our chance of winning is slim. Look to Brazil 2014.

Yo mek mi tell unno something; Canada team only look strong pon paypa. Dem only have 3 good ballas realy, Gerba-striker, DeRo-attacking mid, and Deguzman-Mid. All dem odda playa deh a rucks, trus mi, Stalteri a rucks, yo Canada, can get beat by this crop of home grown players, Semoes is going for hard working players instead of name brand ballas. Watch the ride. Even though I still think Semoes is going for the draw really. Commings can done dem ,but him inexperience. If di boyz mek Canada beat dem wid 3 players den dem noh reddy fi di yet, Iman dont feel like this team of Boyz are outclassed based on the line oup I see from Canada.

Reggaeboyz Naah lef the guley, dont worry! peace out.

Simoes is trying to teach the UB40's a lesson; that we can do it without them and we are not desperate to have them. which will result in them being more humble and disciplined(that is if this if we get a decent win with these locals in canada).

hey peeps, what formation will Prof. Simoes will be Using ?,
I thought been on the road next week we would go with a typical
442, but from all indications this may not be the case.It's
speculated on canadian Board that he's going with a 343. 343
is a hard formation if you ask me and Donovan Ricketts I've never seen him leave his lines consistent in a game. That's why
playing three defenders can be foolish of us. What formation will
Jamaica used am lost ?.

People, unnuh leave the Professor mek him work nuh?
He obvously noticed complacency in a lot of the ballers and he sees talent and good work ethics in this crop of players, plus they have been training together since August 4th, Canada have wah, 3 days ?

Furthermore I am SURE he knew the probably Canadian squad, and chose the Yawd squad to match up.

Mek the coach coach the team....an unnuh fi TRY remain positive...as much as mi love the foreign baller dem, me is not Simoes and I am not at every training and practice games, as is the case with most here \:\)

Full squad:
Goalkeepers – Ricketts, Shawn Sawyers;

DefendersTy Marshall, Ian Goodison, Keneil Moodie, O’Brian Woodbine, Demar Stewart, Jermaine Taylor;

Midfielders – Andy Williams, Demar Phillips, Rudi Austin, Evan Taylor, Bibi Gardner, Jerry Hue, Jevaughn Watson, Davian Thorpe;

Forwards – Deon Burton, Omar Cummings, Luton Shelton and Wolry Wolfe .

Marshall is hurt so we a re left with 20 players.

My problem here is depth; in defense with the absence of tyrone there should be someone with more experience to take his place.

In the middle it will be basically the same starting 5 of: Taylor, Austin, Bibi, Andy, Phillips. Jerry is the only 'experience' one left on the bench; no depth here. I guess Wolry Wolfe could this position also.

Front: I'm not as concern only if scoring or serious threats is few and far between.......

I'm wondering about our mental toughness with the absence of certain key players -Marshall, Fuller, King etc.

Our mental toughness is my greatest concern; will we focus for 90 minutes and not allow mental breakdowns?

with the absence of Marshall I hope he doesn't go back to the 4-4-2 system...........

Stay the course Semoes, we need the extra ball handler in the middle.

Rudi and Evon can hold defensive middle.....
