Stay the course Semoes, we need the extra ball handler in the middle.

Rudi and Evon can hold defensive middle.....

352 is not a good formation for Jamaica, NOOO ! NOO ! NOO !.

A typical 442 but let mi emphasize, they must play team, team
and more team.

This is totally ridiculous - the team is very weak compared to the Canadian. The JA squad is a bunch of semi pro versus a pro Canadian squad. For JA to win these guys have to over achieve.
Cant understand the exclusion of so many professionals by Simoes.
Lets pray for a miracle - plus Tyrone went down during the Colorado match chasing of a people Omar Cummings.

Sven Ericksson's reason for not calling Nery Castillo-adding local players.........Maybe he went to the same school as Rene Simoes.

 Quote:

In respect of outstanding forward Nery Castillo who was not called, he said, “he has played very little after changing clubs. However, he has a lot of quality but now he does not play at the rhythm that we want.”

On 35 year old Cuautemoc Blanco, Ericksson said that he saw him play for the Chicago Fire and he was very impressive. Ericksson said he knows that Blanco is not young, but he still has as lot to offer the team.

With respect to the local players who trained in two sections last week, defenders and forwards, he said they showed discipline, good attitude and they worked very hard.

Metro, I'm assuming you understood why 3-5-2, and if not here is why.

Against our toughest opponents: MEX, USA, HONDURAS, and add CANADA to that mix, we are going up against well seasoned midfielders; many of which are a step ahead of ours in experience and top flight football day in day out, and it shows when we do play these teams. So there's an advantage on their part.

The last time we played MEX and held our own frustrating them in the process, Andy Williams said the team overachieved and played the game of their lives. What he was really saying it is almost impossible to play like that all the time.

What I'm saying and Semoes sees it this way too that with the extra ball handler it takes the pressure off the midfield play.

There's one more body in the middle to either handle the ball or to pick up defensively. This strengthens our midfield play. How many times have we seen when our team cracks it's always start with our midfield.

The reason why we do without the 3-5-2 in the past was because of Whitmore great ball handling ability. We do not have a Whitmore presently.

The 3-5-2 frees up Bibi Gardner to be more involved in the offensive push, and it takes the pressure off Andy Williams since he has another midddle man to help him and Phillips.

The problem with our 3-5-2 system our best defenders are not playing. Marshall injured, Davis just came back from injury etc.
