Hopefully Boxjuice and CB will send out the invitation for the squad next week. The team will have four(4) games between 09/26 - 10/08.
The squad will be made up of primarly local-NPL ballas and maybe some US A-league players who are not involved in playoff battles. I think CB needs to get more of the U21s in the pre-tournament training sessions. Also, this crap about building a team around one player such Campbell-Ryce is crap. He is a good attacking winger plain and simple no need to put pressure on a 23 year old, who has only trained 2 days with the squad. We have Hue in the middle but we need at least two(2) other options.

Is Jermaine Taylor the best central defender in the NPL who is capable of playing international football?
Nothing against youth development but he needs to sit on the bench and learn a bit, maybe come on as a sub. Hopefully, he is not another youth team stud but senior team dud.

I think he is improving. It takes time be good at the international level.

He has a lot to learn. At least he looked better than when he played in the England game. A younger Shavar Thomas had looked better than him when he started to play for the senior team at 19 years of age.
Damian Stewart's brother...I think his name is Demar, looked very mature in the one game I saw him in...
how old is he and is he still a part of the national setup?
Breakenridge seemed firm the 2 times we saw him, what about him...
we have the talent, who is keeping an eye on them ? How often is the database of players updated, what information is kept, what is disposed, what level does a player have to reach to be given a chance at a call up?
Oooops...

For real. I don't know why Breakenridge is not being played more. He's played well for us the few times he has been called up. Very stable in defence and is also good at starting attacks from defence. He doesn't normally boot the ball upfield like Taylor.

Some of our top young national team players really need to step up their play. Our top U19s(1987) and U21s(1985) should all be on the first-team of their NPL clubs, at least in the first 15 players.

He does now. He captained Waterhouse then left last season to play for Harbour View. Now he's back at Waterhouse. Very good central defender. Demar Stewart not bad too. Plus he's young.

The Reggaeboyz not ready for big time football. very good skill wise but tactically the team and management are dunces. We will do well against inferior teams in the Caribbean but until they bring in a good technical and tactical coach, we will continue to get pure 5 and 6 from decent teams. The JFF should have recruited a young coach from the Holland KNVB set up. There are there waiting for the opportunity to buss and will be cheaper than any of the big names they are planning to get. Right now the program is in a backward mode and too many members of the forum are just jingoist but not really seeing the light. When the JFF bring back Carl Brown, then this is reason to throw them out. CB is a decent person but is still a football dunce. Until we make the changes to get a coach who can teach us the basics especially defensive coverage and movement of the ball, we will get pure and nuff beating. MArk my word!!!

I like the players that CB has called to the squad but we really need a training center and academy completed. Notice that all the players are from clubs located within a 50-mile radius of Kingston? I think this is mostly a financial issue since the JFF can not afford transporation and housing for those outside that area. The Reggaeboyz should not play international football with a KSAFA/Portmore all-star squad.
